How many ports do you need?

Do you need it to be able to charge devices as well or just transfer between a certain device and your PC?

Do you want to have an individual on/off switch for each of the ports?

Do you have a specific colour preference in mind?

Do you want it to be a stand alone on your desk or to be mountable, ie under your desk for example?

not heard or used vermont brand before , but i have the other 2 and very happy with their products not had a problem with them myself

things like external case for ssd - oricco or a sd card reader from anker speeds were both good on each product

I need one similar too. Wanted to mounted underneath my desk for Oculus Rift sensors, HOTAS and rudders etc. Might look into one of these above. Would need to be powered though.

Stick to brand names and try and get a powered hub (unless portability is an issue).
