Prey on ryzen vs intel

Maybe its because its an ryzen optimized game but still found it interesting, maybe a look at things to come for AMD.

Yes but using an Intel system, so far it seems Nvidia and AMD are very close to eachother. So the AMD partnership seems to have been solely for Ryzen.
Good to see this though even if it is "biased". Just goes to show Ryzen is very capable of beating intel at more than just multitasking when on an even playing field(assuming they optimized for both and not just Ryzen alone, though I suspect the latter)

Well let's face it the Ryzen 1700 absolutely smashes the 7700k in threaded benches so there's no reason why that should not translate into gaming.

We shall see when I try their games on my 8 core Intel.

There is a reason.
Intel has had all the optimization for years and years. It'll take a while before we move towards better multi-threaded applications. Or a while before it's more common I should say. Unless AMD keep up the partnerships, if so hopefully much sooner

judging by the results I'd bet that the 6900K and 1700 are roughly on par now in this game.

We are currently looking at conducting deeper CPU performance testing in our games testing in the future.

Our Prey results will showcase some of our first steps towards this goal. We should be releasing this data sometime tomorrow.

Was that the Joker video? He got busted for not using identical settings on both systems. He set Intel up to fail. Changed FOV and shadow settings.

There should be laws on that and it should be stamped out IMO. There goes his credibility.

Yeah, he has been shown to do hat before. Looks like he was trying to capitalise on the traffic that was offered from the AMD subreddit, as they have been going mad for Ryzen results, especially positive ones.

Editing your results in this way is all kinds of wrong.

To be honest I wouldn't trust either Joker or Brian from Tek City.

The whole personal attack's against each other is just stupid, and that's what all the "different settings" thing was about but there were some issues with the results.

Joker did put up a video explaining it but it has since been removed.

To be honest from what I saw when I looked in to it, it was just childish behaviour from both of them.

I mean seriously I think they both need there heads banging together and if they have issues with each other, which they clearly do they need to keep it of youtube and all the other places they have been attacking each other, because it does of them any favours.

If anyone want's to know how Ryzen performs compared to Intel in games then I would suggest watching videos by more responsible people.
