The sad thing is we've all watched it and are now talking about it.. Damn you MSI and your marketing tactics.

MSI, I'm guessing you ideally want to target your ads at people who have money and want to buy new hardware? If that is the case, you might want to let your creative director know that these people are generally older than six, so he should stop making videos that appeal to primary school children.

All joking aside, that video is an absolutely poor way of selling anything - let alone a laptop. Were you hoping little Jimmy would spot that cool video on YouTube and ask daddy to increase his allowance by a buck a month so he can save up to buy it?

I also notice you didn't include any disclaimers to state that usage of that product (what was the product again? I forgot...) may not actually cause any untoward attention from SWAT teams, evil criminal masterminds, or ladies with an Ada Wong cosplay fetish. Nor will it make the owner resemble Sam Worthington, or should I say whichever lookalike you managed to con into starring in that garbage.

So, to sum up: Sack your entire creative marketing team so they can go back to selling G I Joe models, and employ people who know how to sell hardware.

Yea but none of us are tempted to buy one now. The opposite is the case.

There is a line between 'getting people talking about it' and 'getting people buying it' unfortunately.

Even so, bad publicity is good publicity.

After a year we still always remember "The Waterpark Rig" when ever a bad build comes up.

Yes it gets people talking, but this is just a joke. People are going to lose respect for MSI, I certainly am.
