PolySmasher

Hello everybody!
After 5 years from my last build(Project Paradise) I decided to start a new build mainly focus to achieve great result in both work and games and that's why the name PolySmasher. For this new build I sent to the scrapyard my old 2500k and change side from Intel to AMD.

This PC will mainly serve me as a workstation(modeling,sculpting,texturing...) and of course gaming in my spare time. I choosed to go with Ryzen due to its great results in both of these two fields.

About the colors. I have to admit I was really inspired by a custom build made by BitWit and from one custom sleeve color by MDPC. It has been love at first sight, the Perfect Pink. I also like some other colors from the MDPC sleeves collections and I made some little photoshop over some pictures to see what I enjoy the most(even for cable scheme color). I took the picture from Mod1PC(as you can still see from the tag on them), and I hope that's not a problem, otherwise I'll delete the pictures.

These are the components for the pc:

Case: Phanteks P400S Tempered Glass edition (not sure yet between total white or black/white)
Mobo: Gigabyte X370 Aorus K7
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700x
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 2x16GB 3200 (white)
VGA: ASUS Strix GTX1080
HDD: 2 x Toshiba P300 3TB (raid 1)

Parts I already own that I'll upgrade(hopefully soon)

Monitor: Wacom Cintiq 27QHD (2560x1440)
Dissi: Corsair H100i
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (boot and main software used)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
VGA: Gigabyte GTX970 G1 Gaming
PSU: Corsair AX1200 (already with some custom made MDPC cables but I'll resleeve them after I choose the color for this new build)

After so many years I really wanna try to make a good looking custom liquid cooled pc but this is really a plus for now, I hope I can get it done!

I already had some help from the guys in the community helping me choosing the right cpu.

I truly hope I didn't forget anything and see you soon with the pictures of the first components!
Of course any advice is really appreciated

Most of the components are here, I'm still waiting for the AM4 bracket(damn, I can't even try to run it) and the case.

Next week I'll order the sleeves and I'll hopefully start the works really soon.
I have some idea to integrate more "visually" the polysmasher name into the case but more on that when i finish the concept.
In the end I bought the P400S black/white version and I'll probably choose the dominant color for the sleeving when I have the chance to boot up the system in the new case. For now I think I'll reuse my Enermax Cluster fans from my previous build cause luckly they have white LEDs.

Hope to get back to you as soon as possible!

So is this going to be a black/white color scheme or pink?
Looking forward to the next update

I'll probably end up using black and titanium sleeve with a third color choosed between the 4 options in my first post. The white will be probably just a bit of "fresh air" in the case to give it some light. I think I'll end up testing something when I get my hand on the case with some photoshop

oooook, all the components from the first order arrived

I tried to make a quick build to see if everything works and how everything looks inside this new case and I must admit, I really like it but, Houston, we got a problem! ps:

I never took in to count the dimension of the AX1200 compared to this case. As you can see under the midplate I have just 7cm left to manage most of the cables and I still have to plugin the 2 HDDS with their alimentation wires as well. My cables didn't help neither since when I sleeved them I cover all the wire with a white insulating tape so now they're really stiff and hard to put in place. Since I'll end up using black/grey and coloured sleeve I think I'll rebuy the wires and make them from scratch maybe even cutting them to the right length needed so I can avoid all that mess in the midplate.

BTW I must admit, I really dig the look of this case!! :asd:
