Is there any sort of precedent that makes revealing new products in a financial analyst day at all likely?

In 2015, AMD used a Financial Analyst day to announced Zen for the first time and confirmed for the first time that they were creating a graphics card with HBM memory with an interposer (a GPU which would become the R9 Fury X).

Note that AMD doesn't host a Financial Analysts day every year. Most years it is just a small investor presentation. Release a PDF and have a conference call.

Hmmm... So by that logic, if anything, we'll probably get some vague information about the upcoming products in general, rather than specific model details.

What you reckon?

Excited for the announcement and hopeful for AMD.

Wasn't excited to read another article using TFLOPS as a measurement of performance between two different architectures though. People really need to stop using that. Or if using it say that "it can be in theory 2x faster in computing workloads, but note that does not translate to gaming performance directly."
