Irrelevant when most people just throw it on the CPU anyway assuming otherwise. People will buy it for this reason. No harm in it.

3700X and down all look good IMO.
If the leaked benchmarks are anywhere close to real world performance I will finally be able to retire my 3770.
Cannot wait to get my hands on some new hardware and do some tweaking, its been a while since I got the old girl settled she has done well for her age and still more than capable of gaming but 8 cores, 16 threads, higher base and much higher boost with an unlocked multiplier (gonna need some help OCing these i reckon, last time i touched an AMD cpu they had a 200mhz BLCK) and much newer architecture, even at 329 UK its not far off what i paid in 2013. Well played AMD, I said cyberpunk was gonna be the game that made me upgrade, now i just hope they perform

Oh man. I mean I understand why they don't. But I'd have loved to have seen an 8-core @ 4.7. I;d be all over that

What makes you think the new 8 cores won't do 4.7? If my 2700X can do 4.35 on all 8 cores, it's not much of a stretch to assume the new 8 cores will be better.

Binning? Depends on how crazy they have to bin the 16 core CPU and if takes up a lot of wafers.

Ghz is irrelevant if its beating the competition and is 1/2 the price.
