files explorer freezing???

evening chaps. soo as the title suggests my file explorer has been freezing. specifically when im previewing excel files. it hasnt when previewing word docs just excel. but its not a prema freeze that requires a restart or for me to end explorer.exe i just have to open another window like chrome so that it is on top of the file explorer window then minimze the chrome window. poof its no longer frozen. the cursor also changes to the cell select or the text cursor and stays that way till unfrozen. ive had the problem with this on my last two installs. doing my bap in hehe. any ideas. ive tried microsoft answers but my problem seems different.

cheers

Morning Mr Onepiece

try having your windows resources monitor open next time you do it, perhaps you will spot some unusual behavious like memory usage/CPU usage etc. Sounds like it may be some other kind of software conflicting. Are the excel files in .csv format? perhaps its the files themselves or the way in which they are saved that is a problem?
