Love every time I come back to this build it's coming along so well and the effort really does show.

As for image sizes I can't say I've noticed, it's always loaded just fine for me either on 100Mb Fibre, 15Mb Broadband or 4G.

thanks Wraith after today its now pretty much done apart from one channel to cut for the front two fan cables


today's progress

laying out for the cover plates on the second motherboard

had to take the back of the desk off and one of the handles off the router in order to get the router in to cut out for the motherboard 8 pin power

while i had the back off i also finished off the channels for the lower intake fans on both sides
right hand side

left hand side

then had to take the front piece off in order to get the router in there for the SSD cover plate


i did think for a fair while which side this SSD should be on, should it look the same as the other board or should it be a mirror image.
finally cut the channels on the underside of the motherboard so all the wires can be glued up out the way when finished

and thats its now apart from the wiring which can be done once painted so it wont have to come out again.

now its just paint prep and sealing the MDF up oh and i got some replacement LED strip in the post today to replace the strip in the lid i broke

if you mean these then i think from memory they are 3850 or 3870 x2 cards but my memory is shocking

well cleaned the shed up a it today and made a start on the paint prep

fibreglass around the cover plates on the right hand side

fibreglass sanded down

bodyfiller on to fill in any pin holes left in the fibreglass

fibreglass and filler in the front to try and hide the seam between the two different bits of wood


both SSD mounts filled





hoping to get the rest done over the weekend then it will be already ready for when the weather gets better

Ah yes of course ! they were identical to the 4850x2 ! same cooler everything.

Cool cards to have in your collection man. They were quite scarce.

yes which dose not help me remember which they are

yer think im going to make a stand for them and put them up on a shelf in the office when done, maybe along with some other parts
