Change HDD in Corsair Voyager Air?

Dear OC3Ders,

since the HDD of my Corsair Voyager Air 500GB version crashed last week and Corsair is unwilling to repair it, do you guys know whether it is possible to actually swap out the HDD against a normal desktop HDD, for example a 3.5" 1TB HDD? Do you guys know whether the Voyager is tightly sealed or whether it is just screwed together?

Sincerely,
panzerschreck from Germany

I'm not going to condone taking something apart as it may void your warranty but you can take the bottom off by removing the rubber feet to reveal the screws.

Hey Wraithguard!

Wow, did you take it apart just for me?
Thank you very much! Gonna try it out and see if a standard 2.5" HDD will fit.
