Silicon Shortage affecting so many industries.

Landrover and Jaguar halt all work at UK plants because of Chip shortages.

Looks like Apple are going to be using an AMD RDNA2 GPU in the form of the Radeon Pro W6900X in their upcoming Mac Pro according to this leak.

New ASIC mines Ethereum at the same rate as 30 x 3080's, 3GH/s.

I love how they just say you'll be able to buy an Nvidia card now when mining has caused an AMD shortage too.

Indeed, I have money slowly amounting for a 6900XT but by the time stock is available the next series will be out.

Sadly the global silicon shortage makes any GPU difficult to get. That said, they reckon the shortage will end in 6months. Not sure where i read it, or what its based on, but i hope its true.

Bitcoin value did just dive by $260 billion. It'll bounce back as far as people seem to be saying, but maybe the surge is starting to taper off slightly.

AMD's latest GPU driver had an unexpected and unmentioned performance impact, Huge power saving during idle and media playback on RDNA2 GPU's, 72% less usage at idle and 30% less during web browsing and media playback.
