I do believe that you may be thinking of Spyware Eliminator from Aluria Software Llwyd. I wrote about it in a guide a while back Removing browser hijacks, Virus's and Spyware

Btw Ad-Aware is a great little program.

Nah, Lavasoft also removed WhenU from their database .

Anyway forget about windows media player plz, its a bs... this soft try to connect to internet when u watch a movie or listen or poor mp3. Prefer windows media player classic or bsplayer for examples.

A little soft called activeports is usefull to survey currently connections to internet.

And kill process software help u to close strange/dangerous process.
