I find that cheap and below the belt, but I do understand that it's par of the course. I've also read that review samples are able to overclock better and 5Ghz with retail samples will require even more voltage in general.

I expected €389 kind of pricing so it's not bad. A 5Ghz 8700K can easily keep up with an 1800X at stock so it's not a bad price really.

There was stock, just not enough to meet demand. There was actually many many more than the 1800X had at launch

Also a stock 8700K is around a Stock 1800X. Overclock the 8700K and the 1800X is left in the dust in everything.

Did I miss it, or is the GPU not listed anywhere? Didn't have the time to check the whole video if that's where it's mentioned...

@AngryGoldfish: it's quite painful, this vapour launch :/ I hope the price doesn't go up but it likely will.

@TTL: there was some stock in the UK (I know a guy on Anandtech who's got his today) but I've researched it and 0 ever entered the Netherlands. Literally none. Same for the (at least Asus) boards; none. I enquired about the Apex: no idea they said, on price, availability, if they'll even sell it or not, they wrote me today. In the US stock is supposed to come in in two weeks time, Europe is unknown. And even thinking about 1 Nov really frustrates me. Intel should have waited and created inventory first.

Anyway, all frustrations aside ha ha, I would really like to know if I can be alleviated from tinkering with the SA and other RAM related voltages if I omit XMP on my 3333MHz RAM and just set it manually.

Really? Everything?

That looks awfully like 'win-some-lose-some' to me.

Hello all. I'm embarrased to post here again after my drunken copy-paste to the wrong forum. Multiple tabs open. My mistake. Wrecked with guilt. The other forum was just as confused.
Is it OK if I submit some CPU readings?

So. My two and half year-old Skylake system just had a look at this. Skylake said..."Hello son."

The Hardware Canucks review reflected that same thing. This CPU isn't dominant at all, as it depends on what benchmark you're looking at. It's completely 50/50 from what I read.

Yeah and it seems to only hit(and not every time) the "50%" faster mark intel was on about before release in synthetics, turns out less than 5% IPC improvement and all the increase is from the extra cores/cache.
