It`s glass... very hard glass, so there is no other option than a dremel :-/ But it is easy to cut:

i may have to work on my dremel skillz before i tackle this hahaha. and buy a diamond disk aswell. is it just me or to the fibre disks like to jump. what sort of finish does the end get after grinding the face after the cutting. does it leave it with a smooth satin finish or does it leave it borderline polished.

You are talking about the head site of the cut? It has a satin finish but its not so easy to have a very nice finish. Our problem was, the dremel is too fast on the slowest level. I think, if you have a dremel with very low rpm you will get a perfect satain finish. If the rpm of the dremel is too fast, you will have a very bad finish wit small splinter. But, if the glass is in the fitting, you will see nothing.

So in other words then you would have to buy a 90* piece every time you need a bend? I am only asking as I am interested in using it depending on the price. What are the current prices in Euros for the 90* bends?

Yes, you need to buy a 90° piece if you need a bend. Sure you can try to bend it by yourselfe, but than you need around 1200°C ;-)
You can see all prices here: http://www.aquatuning.de/search?sSearch=borosilikat
