The R5 1600 seems like a winner to me. $219 for a 6 core CPU?! Amazing value. Since it is 65watt TDP it should read the temps right, which means better OC's? Hopefully. If these can hit 4.3ghz at least that would be solid.

I'm liking the prices $140 between the 1600X and 1700X which I was originally going to get, mainly for stronger single core performance over the 1700, but I'm hoping the 1600X can maybe even clock a little better than the 1800X given the reduced heat.

watched the video, and they show the 1600x gaming alongside the 7600k and getting slightly better fps, though the big question is what was the 7600k running at and what ram

ATM it seems the same as US prices only in pounds so if it's $249 then it'll be around 249 pound

It works out to about £208 (the $249 figure) + VAT (so 20%). So yeah, they will pretty much cost in pounds what they do in dollars.

Let's hope there are boards available then

Yup. It's a problem with uber 8 core CPUs, but devastating on cheap quad cores. Board orders are going to rocket.
