Pricing is utter madness, I looked about at other coffee lake cpus to get a reference and cant believe the prices I bought an 8600k and asus prime motherboard for £360 back in February, ocuk want £330 just for the i5, what the hell happened did Intel forget that AMD are giving them hell.

This "enthusiast segregation" started with X99. This has been going on for a while now. It's just weird that even though AMD has given Intel HARD competition, Intel still does things like this.

They're oblivious to Ryzen. They really are. It's like some dude said "Just every one do this !"
