Looking for Audio Advice

Hey peeps so my drivers have crapped out again so I'm looking at buying one of these in July SCHIIT AUDIO FULLA 3 GAMING DAC AND HEADPHONE AMPLIFIER is this the way to go or are there better ways to go about it, I only use my Sennheiser headphones now and it looks like the modi doesn't support headphones.
It's not going to be cheap either at $260 but I can't stand having driver issues all the time.

So any advice would be greatly appreciated
Cheers
Ex.

I would go with Schiit Audio Hel. Yes, it is pricier but it is worth an extra price over Fulla. It has a bit more umf and also 6.5mm TRS rather than only 3.5mm jack so you can drive some better headphones in the future. Fulla 3 is just too much entry-level. I wouldn't spend my money on Fulla, therefore, I don't recommend it.

Dude they may be good but there's no way in hell I'm paying $525 on one that's out of my league for one item that's not critical Eg CPU, I just as soon use the onboard audio

That is completely understandable. Fulla 3 is a good choice for the price and intended use.

The modi doesn't support headphones because it's a DAC only so it requires an amp to drive headphones.

So you would need a Magni if you wanted an amp and use your onboard audio.

But a fulla should be fine. Get the newer one much better. I think they fixed the power "issue" of it always telling you it needs more power. Reason is it's limited by the USB standard rating. So it needed 2 USB cables to get the power it wanted. Should be resolved for the second version but I can't remember exactly.

Either way it's a great dac/combo for the price point.

That's quite a bit more money for just gaming? It's up to you if you feel the virtual surround sound is worth that money to you.

I've found it cheaper than that it was just the product I was wondering if it was good

Not sure. Looking at reviews there's both good and bad. I've never used it before and there's little information about the internals so it's also hard to gauge how strong and capable it can be.
