The PC market has always had its show-offs. Companies are just marketing to these people more and more. Plenty of people want an awesome gaming den or man cave.

I'd never recommended these to anyone, but if you like the look of them and can afford them, why not?

£129.99 for what is a basic ARGB strip attached to a metal stand with light diffuser, Sheer greed.

It must be remembered that these are low volume products. That adds to costs, as does the software work that's needed to get these to function.

This is a product for the " I have too much money" customer category, like most heavy RGB things.

I can totally see where you're coming from but if their past products are anything to go by they are likely made out of low grade aluminium, A company like Corsair can buy 1 metric ton of aluminium for roughly $1500, Yes, One five zero zero, $1500, If its low grade which is what they use then it will be even cheaper.

Going by the general shape of these things they will likely be using the same machines to fabricate them as they did for their ST100 RGB headphone stands, Which include not just RGB but a built in DAC and 2 x USB ports, Those were also low volume products but "only" cost £59.99.

I asked my dad about this as he was an engineer at BMW for over a decade working with aluminium, CNC machines etc... every single day, Some really nice toys, And even he said basically what I said, This thing is cheap metal with profit on top of profit.

This is just pure greed, They could charge maybe £79.99, A more realistic number, And still make a massive profit.
