Meet the Coffee

Hi all, nice to meet you! I'm James, I'm a student and I'm completely new to building and overclocking computers (My most recent computer is a 3 year old Packard Bell from PC World so you could probably guess that anyway ).

It seems like the people on this forum are pretty cool, so I'm sure that I'll have fun here Hope to see you around and I certainly hope to learn a lot from this forum.

Caffe

You wouldn't mind posting the specs of the Packard Bell PC would you?

I have a ~3 year old retired Packard Bell sitting right next to me, P4 3GHz, 1GB DDR-400 and a measly 6200LE.

It was my starting computer into the hardware world, and it served me well for two or so years.

Welcome to OC3D. Have a nice stay!

At school at the moment but I'll try to remember it

AMD 64 Athlon 3500+ (2.20GHz)

1gb ddr-400

500mb hard drive (doubt its sata-II )

Radeon 9600 I think

Thinking about it, I might steal the dvd-rw drive from this old horse and put it in my new comp (which I'll get in however many years...).

Thanks for all the greetings!

Surprising huh? Well I guess the guys at PC World didn't want to cheat me out of all my £800.
