A while back we were approached by a good friend from MSI UK, He was in need of a very special build for the upcoming i49 LAN event.

The build was to be based on on MSI new gaming range and the MSI GD-65 motherboard and MSI GTX 780 Gaming cards.

The brief was simple carry over the Dragoon Army branding used on MSI's gaming range over to a show stopping rig, With the hardware decided a plan was formed to team up with another industry leader Corsair.

The Hardware:

Corsair 900D Case
Corsair AX1200i PSU
Corsair Vengeance RAM (Red)
Intel 4770k
MSI GD-65 Motherboard
MSI GTX 780 x 2

The Cooling:

Alphacool D5 with plexi top
Alphacool CPU Block
Alphacool Cape Fuzion Res
Mod my toys Carbon monsoon fittings
Aquacomputer Glass 780 GTX blocks

So as everybody and his dog has a standard 900D and we needed to match the brief set by MSI a lick of paint was needed, we kick of the pictures with the case break down.

Over all i'm very impressed how easy the 900D was to break down, to get the effect we were after we needed the front and back, then the 2 main side panels and the smaller 2 panels.

Now for the good stuff!

You cant beat a massive pile of watercooling!

And the rather sexy Aquacomputer blocks

At this point we had taken the case panels of to the powder coaters to have a very special candy paint job

Here's a sneak peak of the end result:

The colour worked out well with our choice of fitting as you can see here:

This sounds like a beast of a system , but not something you can easily pick up and take to a LAN party .
If I had more water cooling knowledge , this would be my dream system.

Is this a build log ? If so , I can't wait to see the finished product.

Yes we will be showing the various stages of the build, but we will be unable to show the full finished product as we would like to to do the big reveal at the LAN on the 23rd.

It will of course be shown after that date bit there is not another 900D like it is all I will say!

Can't wait to see what the end result will look like. Should be a savage looking build.
