Honestly, anything that you would play with. All the vehicles are kept the same to keep the game competitive without any pay to win options. Play the game and see how you find it. After that go nuts and get xtras. Personally I have the DeLorean and Batmobile, never really use them, but they are there for the nerd factor.

Like Kilbane said, other than nostalgia or aesthetics there is no difference performance wise between the DLC cars and the stock stuff. I have all the DLC packs just for variety but there is plenty in the vanilla game to keep most happy enough.
I'll put more time into Rocket League next week but at the moment I'm playing Need for Speed.

I just logged in to Rocket League and it's patching    "Slam Dunk" i'll be rooting for the Harlem Globetrotters
