  • NZXT Switch 810 White
  • Asus P6T Deluxe V2
  • Intel i7 920 D0 Stepping
  • NZXT Havik 140
  • Patriot Media Sector 7 1600mhz
  • 320gb Western Digital Blue
  • 500gb Western Digital Green
  • 2TB Samsung F4
  • MSI Radeon HD7970
  • OCZ 700MXSP
  • Lite-On DVD Drive
  • NZXT Sentry Mix
  • 8x NZXT FN140 Fans, 1x Noctua 140
  • Logitech MX Performance

Surprisingly the 7970's massively over sized box fit in my backpack.

...The K90 wasn't so lucky.

Nice and tidy Rob

Can't believe you got all those fans set to full blast though, your rig must be deafening
blink.gif
I have mine turned all the way down at 40% speed using the Sentry Mix and I can barely hear the case fans over my GPU, they are loud on full though.

I'm a silence freak though so whats loud to me probably isn't loud to others

Thanks everyone!

I managed to wire my fan hub into my Sentry Mix, so the controller controls the hub too

For general use I have all but the Noctua exhaust fan, even the Havik fans, on the lowest setting. This keeps the system near silent. I run at full speed when playing a game.

Lol, I thought you had them all turned up for 24/7 use.

I'm going to run my case fans off the fan hub connected to the Mix as well, i'm no good with wires though so instead of doing a bodge job on some molex to 3pin cables I have lying around I have ordered one off Ebay that will do the job.

looks Great Rob think urs is the first one I've seen thats air cooled helps show the versatility of this Epic case

Nice rig. How much memory is that?!

24Gb, it was like $85 after MIR at Frys, I was in the market for another 6GB, but it made more sense to get matching sticks and options for triple channel on sale were a bit slim. I can't really ever justify 24gb, but now it gives me a good excuse for a RAMDisk

I did before I got the controller, it wasn't terrible and I did sleep through it.

But, the noise level of the fans on low is near silent which is much nicer at night.

That's actually how I did it! One of my fans had the 3pin + male/female molex. I connected the 3pin to the fan controller and the molex into the fan hub, which then allows for 8 fans to be controlled on the channel which the 50w per channel handles easily.

Would've loved to see some BitFenix Alchemys in there, otherwise it's looking pretty damned awesome

Hello, I am Rob Teller

NZXT Product Development.

I've thought about getting cable extensions, but it was sort of on the bottom of my list for upgrades. About a month ago I had no SSD, a GTX260, and had the H2 without a window.

H Hmmm don't you mean NZXT extension cables. (the guy does work for NZXT)

To be fair, I really only made that clear in the Switch posts, but I had a similar thought.

I don't think I have seen an air cooled Switch... Other than SieB's incredible MATX build

Haha might as well settle this now, the less said about the H2 on OC3D the better, I am sure. Yes I had an H2, it was a good case and it fit my needs at the time. I'm not getting ready to jump into watercooling, so it is the Switch for me

oops was just poking fun at ya no offense intended IMHO all cases have there strong weak points and not all cases please everyone. As a computer builder for well over a decade I've seen my share of what some call bad cases and imho were pretty decent ones. I've never laid hands on an H2 so i cant comment completely on it nor should I of made that joke. Please accept my apologies
