No ads and wait a tenth of a second, or ads and instant start.

I'll wait.

Chrome? Pah.
Exactley. All those extra features are wort waiting a second extra for. I mainly hibernate my computer when not in use anyway, so the same instance of Firefox is usually open for days at a time.

Chrome has an adblock extension based on easylist now too.

I use Chrome because it's fast and responsive, and the no-frills UI can be customised to just how I like. Firefox feels bloated and slow now in comparison.

It's not that it's a tiny bit faster, I have found that it is quite a bit faster. And I prefer things to not be cluttered or full of features. Chrome Plus just has some nice simple features that make browsing that much easier. Try and make firefox this simple! :P

NoScript is awesome for Firefox. Does Chrome have a similar add-on yet?

No it doesn't, maybe because it doesn't have any addons. Becuase it doesn't need any. It's pure Google really.

I used Firefox for the past few years. I had some add-ons, but I didn't really care about them. I just like a nice, quick, reliable OS and Firefox used to fit my needs. After each update I somehow felt Firefox go slower and take longer to open (I tend to re-format my PC fairly regularly by the way). I decided to give Google Chrome a try and I've converted. I don't want to mess about with add-ons to make an OS work. I just want to install and go, no messing about. I suggest to all the people in this thread who love Firefox - Don't knock Chrome till you tried it!

And that is exactly why I love chrome, but get Chrome Plus!

NoScript is an essential addon, read what it does, it's awesome.

I've tried Chrome and I like it, but I do think NoScript is something Google should add support for.

I also like my gmail notifier

I've never had any problems with stuff like that, so I don't need it.
