MSI GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X Preview

Let's have a look at MSI's new GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X, a GPU that uses an enhanced version of their Twin Frozr VI cooler design to offer both cool and quiet operation under load.

I dont understand why the fans arnt bigger? MSI has one of the widest cards on the market but still only have standard size fans. There is about 1 cm on each side to work with

They are the biggest fans on GPUs. If they are efficient there is no need for upgrade. You can just bump up the radiator, and fans will dissipate more heat. Don't repair the thing that is not broken.

It's an evolutionary upgrade on previous designs.
Thicker but cooler and quieter hopefully with those larger fans.
I'll be upgrading from msi 1070 gaming x version to this for sure in July!

Astounding how they manage to make such an expensive card look so cheap.

Dragon stickers and cheap read plastic put it on my I'll take one for free list but not going to spend money on it list. It can hang out there with the workout bro AORUS eagle...

I wish non reference cards like this one did not leave a gap between the fan housing and the end bracket as it just looks cheap and tacky.
