G Gothmoth New member Jul 30, 2019 #2 would be even better when RTX cards had more memory to make them more useful for GPU rendering. the issue with GPU rendering is VRAM. but what do you pay for a nvidia card with 11GB of ram... 1200 euro. the radeon 7 offers 16GB but has no cuda, no RTX. can´t count the times i have out of memory errors with VRAY when i use GPU rendering. and i doubt that blender will behave better. Only ever use CUDA, increase the render square size to a size GPUs like from 16x16 to 256x256, drop the light bounces to 4 from 8 and use proper world illumination rather than spot lamps or emission panels. All makes for crystal clear fast renders.
