ASUS Launches their ROG Strix Helios White Edition Chassis for Showcase Builds

I like the general look of the Helios but there is near zero airflow, Terrible design, Tech Jesus AKA Steve from Gamers Nexus tore Asus a new one for the terrible design.

It is a horrible case like so many others. I really don't know who thinks that this is a good product.

Edit: I often think:" Hmmm... I could mod it to make it right." But the amount of modding that needs to be done is just not worth it. I could easily design a case in Fusion 360 have it cut and assembled in less time than to mod failed product and have a much better case.

Brutal... and yet I sit here in agreement 100%.

Does not look like a nice case at all to me.

I just feel like we've been going backwards for quite some time now in case designs. We're choosing form over functionality for something that needs to be functional as it bears responsibility for billions upon billions of transistors. If it sucks well so will your performance.

All for the RGB and glass.

Why is that is a great question? Something like 90% of Corsair case sales is around 100$ and below. Go ham with glass, RGB, and style over function. Those cases won't hold monsters in them. So for that 10%, that will put hot hardware in you create a crap case? Why?

Haven't they learned anything from Lian Li? Ask someone who knows what he is doing like der8auer. O11 Dynamic is rocking hard. And that is one case designed properly.

Idk why. I mean fractal is one of the few big companies doing it right. I do miss caselabs and it's a shame they went out of business. They were the epitome of function over form.

Meanwhile, there is an argument on Define 7 post how that case is more horse manure than previously though. :D

Why make a white case and then ruin it with he crap on the PSU shroud, my first thought is I'd have to paint that back to white

On the PSU it is magnetic and you can remove it. Well, they come separately. Needless to say mine are still new in the packet lol. I didn't even stick the Asus logo on it.

That's a good idea tbh. They should use that more on cases and the like.
