Leaked AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU delivers incredible gaming performance

This could be my step towards AMD since probably my pre 2500k days. For the first time in a long time, Im pleasantly excited towards a CPU launch from the ZEN creators :D

I went from a 2500k to a Ryzen 1700, it was a huge step up :) but a Ryzen 5000 would most likely be as big a step as my last :D

I actually like that the thread count stays. Shows that the gains probably translate very well to real world.

I heard these can hit 5ghz. With 20% IPC over 3000. That's pretty sick man, and will bury Intel.

Only thing I find concerning is how much they will cost.

Where did you hear that? All the leaked info I see references 4.8ghz based on leaked results from OPN. That being said, the same leaked info shows benchmarks (clocks not shown) absolutely crushing Intels 10900k on max FPS, which makes me smile!

But this is how I see it in AOTS

5800x benches 22% higher max fps and 16% higher avg fps on stock, vs an OC'd 10900k running at 5.3ghz and has also more cores.

Good times ahead!

The rumours I saw also label it in the region of a 3800x price wise. If true, we have ourselves a new king of price v perf

God I hope so dude ! that would be fantastic.

I heard long ago that when this gen launch Intel will be completely finished with their recent games. Not sure how long they will be on the canvass for, but yeah this round is the big KO.

I think the key difference is how the cache works, it allows the cores to use the full cache and you'd only not see improvement when all cores are loaded, so single threaded games are way boosted. Intel are going to hate these CPU's no longer single thread kings and yes i've heard 5ghz from several sources but i'm not sure on how many cores or if 5ghz all core is possible.

Have to wonder if AMD beat Intel and Nvidia how long it would be before we see the latest GPU/cpu from them being £1,600 though

im not so sure. They have long been running and claiming to be the best price v performance company. Afterall they have to be, when their top end always fell short.

Now to suddenly switch from better value to overpriced, I think that would irk the customer base. We have been stating for a long time that Nvidia are overpriced, and longed for AMD to keep the green team in check. To see AMD pull the same thing, hmm I think its a bad marketing move.

I'd be willing to bet it is 5GHz single core boost. We can dream though :D.

Quite simply one of, if not the, best memes I have ever seen in my entire life.

GO LISA !

LOL, that is great!

I think if amd are making solid profits even if not as massive they are happy, think people might have forgotten that the share price went from like $2 to now something like $70 that for them is massive and they paid off their debts.

I can see them starting to charge more thou or designing new classes at higher prices but i think general value and solid profit is what they want to focus on, to gain market share.

But the one thing they have in general from people using the products is Mindshare in a huge way.
