Corsair Strafe RGB MK2 Silent Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The Corsair Strafe was an excellent keyboard lacking a few minor details that this revised Mk.2 version has put right. We take it for a spin.

Just missing....

The dedicated Macro keys - if it had those I'd be tempted to upgrade from my current STRAFE (I guess it is now the MK1) .

When will Corsair stop using that Godawful font on their keycaps. I can't stand to look at it in photos, let alone have it on my desk.

Another overpriced mechanical keyboard.

Really I remember going to the store when I was young and my father buying a mechanical keyboard for $30. Don't see how RGB can increase the cost to $140 USD. Sounds like they have profit margins near 80%.

Like everything NBD the demand is for mechanical and RGB so companies rub their hands together and milk it for all it's worth

Because they use rare earth components as the LEDs ...

Cherry are the Mercedes Benz of the key switch world, Now if you want overpriced boards look no further than Razers own "gaming switches" tried several and holy hell are they overpriced, Even the *click* on their green *knock off cheap Chinese cherry blue* manages to wear out after a short while.

Yup I had to buy Cherry switches last year when my space bar died (on my little Magicforce). IIRC it was £2.50 for two, or about a pound each if you buy them in any sort of bulk.

It almost begs belief that a company can make an entire board on clones with 60 switches, double shot caps and even a slither of alu and then sell for £25.

But yes, Cherry switches are the best and yes they are expensive. Every time one of my clones fails now I am replacing with Cherry. Having said that I have had it quite a long time now and I have only managed to blatter the space bar one.
