Looking more into it Samsung drives got more expensive. Wonder when that happened... Went from low $80 to almost $100 for a 250GB.

I was talking NVME too. At least here when you look at the 1TB range, the price difference between Adata and Samsung gets sizeable. When I bought, the Sammy was about $130-$140CDN more expensive than the SX8200. It is slightly slower, but not by much, and compared to the savings, it's a big cost savings for about 90-95% of the performance.
