Ubisoft's Hosting Far Cry 6's Gameplay Reveal this Friday

Haven't played any since FC3. Just looked to be the same thing over and over again just a new place to blow things up.

And villains who are very James Bond-esque in their eccentricities. I'd like to see a more linear Far Cry again, or maybe somehow marry the two together in a unique way.

You honestly have not missed much, LOL! I've played em all, but I wasn't going to touch 6, since 5 was so cringe. And yet I ended up with a free code thanks to a CPU purchase, go figure.

The moment AlienALX had said it was fun to pop a pill, and bunch a bear 100meters into the sky, I realised that the game is just a stupid unrealistic pile of trash. Haven't touched anything since the first one.

Just it's kind of like a more serious version of Just Cause, really. It has some good writing and set pieces, but they're few and far between.

Easily remedied by more radio/communication towers to climb.

Gotta love dem radio towers to expand the map so you can collect more loot so you can kill the same bad guys again slightly differently.

In fairness, watching some of the more skilled Far Cry gamers (check out StealthGamerBR on YouTube; he's a legend) is quite fun. The games have some creative tools in them.

it is a fun game only grip is once you clear an area no enemies respawn the area becomes barren of them that does my head in

prob the dev just trying to get you to hit game+

It's funny because I found the constant respawn of enemies in Far Cry 2 to be irritating. I'd drive through a section, clear it, do something, turn around and come back, and I'd have to clear it again, all the same enemies.

Just watched the trailer, the CD-R gun made me laugh a little, and wonder how many millennials won't get it. Graphics do look pretty, but graphics are never the problem with this series. It seems like with every successive game, the games devs make it feel more like a cheesy (and bad) movie than an actual game. Too much stupid drama, and awful story lines, all while draped in the same boring and repetitive gameplay that gets real old real fast. I always really enjoy the BEGINNING of an FC game, since Ubi really does give you some pretty worlds to explore, but it runs out of steam quickly for me. Oh well, since I got it basically free, I'll give it a whack when it lands. At worst, it will be a new benchmark to see what my 6900XT can do with a newer game.
