Crytek releases CryEngine Neon Noir Benchmark with hardware-agnostic raytracing

I must say that this does look stunning. And, it doesn't look much worse at 1080p than 1440p. Mostly because you're so wowed by the reflections etc.

It also doesn't look like cheap plastic, like Port Royal does.

So I don't particularly care how its ray traced or the methods, because quite frankly it's all about how it looks. I really CBA picking peanuts out of poo about how it got there.

If they can make a game that looks even remotely like this? F yeah. Imagine Crysis 4 but looking like that demo. OMG, bell end in mitt for sure.

AFAIK Crytek said eventually they will add RT global illumination, RT ambient occlusion etc... will look damn nice.

Now if only they could make a really fun game... Or even a compelling single player. Really anything. Lots of talent being wasted. They clearly have extremely smart developers but all they do is work on an engine that isn't as popular as it used to be

I smell a new benchmark thread..

Although my 2080 Ti comes with Samsung memory I kept it at 8000, Core overclock went to 2100 then settled at 2050.

Nice, never could get mine to go to 2100 without it hitting power limit or voltage limit.. Will have another go with new drivers, using the default windows install drivers for the moment 432.00.

Been messing about with vroc so done about 3 fresh installs over the last few days. Thats my excuse....

With latest drivers @1440p

Why does it say you have 13GB of memory ? that's an odd amount of ram to have ^_^

EDIT

Nevermind you have 130GB, Yep, that's a little nuts XD

Ran the test on a 2080 ti, at 1920x1080 I was getting around 150fps average fps with a score of 13.7k , at 3440x1440 I got a score of 7409 with a frame rate around 70-95fps (probably averaging mid-80s). Both runs were full screen with raytracing on Ultra.

This tech demo seems to be a bit slower than RTX reflections on BFV. I wonder how their implementation would go using the RTX and/or tensor cores.
