850W is plenty for a 690 tbh. A friend of mine runs an i7 and a 680 on 500W bronze power supply. All overclocked that rig pulls a maximum of 360W from the wall.

I think SATA 2 and SATA 3 cables are physically the same. They use the same connector and the same wiring. So yes you should be able to use the same cable without any difference.

I agree with you there. I just suggested the 850W version, because there is not much of a price difference between the AX 850, 750 and 650. I would advice for a nice Z68 Motherboard aswell.
