Much better aesthetic in comparison to the Pro, can see this being a big seller for AM4 builds.

I'd chuck some monitoring software on there before making any drastic assumptions. Check CPU usage over time for spikes to 100% and RAM usage. Keep an eye on clock speed changes and temps too.

and a bonus to that is that you can get decent ones rather than cheap thin poor quality cables

The addition of a 4 core is, as I see it, Intel matching the upgrade path of Ryzen. Go to X299 and get a budget CPU ..... later down the line upgrade to a £1000 10 core monster.

Nvidia have done this before with numerous cards. For example, the GTX 260ti was released with 192 Cores, later down the line they upgraded and did a 216 core version....
