ASUS has horrible support for their laptops...never again. I've been happy with my MSI GS65 Stealth, but haven't had to use their support at all. Dell support is top-notch though.

Why not try the 3700X system in the case first? If the thermals aren't to your liking at that point then switch to the Z390 board with a 9900KS?
