Cool S430 White Build

Just had to re-build the missus' gaming rig. She was running a Corsiar 600T case that lived on the floor, but she needed more space under her desk to fit her new gaming throne. So swapped out from...

Roof will hold 120 or 240 if you need the top optical slot. 360 if you don't.

Thanks guys, it doesn't help that this machine lives on the floor under the desk. I guess it's a good advert for having a case windows! I think the biggest issue, tho, is I hadn't opened this one up...

Looks epic. I love this case aesthetic. Looks properly industrial. Fitting three 240s in full push/pull in there is sheer depravity :)

Corsair 600T Horror Show (The missus' rig)

So, the missus' rig had been running a bit slow so we decide to overhaul her disk setup as we suspected her 3yr old SSD was getting a bit long in the tooth and her storage HDD was running slower than...

Tidy, classy looking rig. Personally I prefer the PSU your way, more logical for airflow and easier to get the modular cables bunched together at the back.

A 360 should fit in the top no problem, but not in the roof section. There probably won't be enough motherboard mosfet HS clearance to run it push pull unless it's a seriously thin radiator. You'd...

Thanks guys. That PWM cable bugs me, too, but not sure what to do with it as it plugs in an inch or two from the cooler. I suppose I could pluck up the courage to shorten it? <eek>

GPU cables are...

Looks awesome. The red PSU cables are class, and I like that you've re-coloured the GTX logos. Really neat, too. It's a really smart looking rig.

As far as I can tell running 1 Kraken, once you've set it up in software it stores the settings internally and you only need to use the USB header to change those settings. So you can just plug one...

Awesome build. These are such good looking cases. The square form factor reminds me of some of the old SGi Workstations. If Tom says your cables are messy I pray he never sees mine :S

In the end I kept the side intake 200mm but moved the front one to the top for two in the roof. I replaced the front 200mm with 2x140s as the latter shifts more air and the 200mm sat a little low to...

Thanks WillSK! It's a really nice case to build with. One of the 200mm fans had come DoA, but NZXT UK shipped a replacement out to me when contacted. Other than that it was flawless. There's TONS of...

My Phantom 630 Rig

Hi guys, have finally finished my first new 'proper' rig in about 5 years. It's been up and running a week or two now but I'd been awaiting a few extra parts to finish the build off. For the last...

Despite the compelling logic behind 4GB of vRam, I've yet to see a comparitive review where 4GB 680s outperform 2GB 680s in SLI at 5760x1080 by any useful margin. Indeed, the GTX690, with its 2GB per...
