That's because 300Mbps is the current top tier "uncapped" service, this new service will replace it and you'll find you become capped at your advertised speeds.

I've done 3 so far and all have been set to local...

I've done 3 so far and all have been set to local only - this would seem to indicate that perhaps it takes instruction from one of the boolean options during the setup process.

The blue LEDs are just a little too light - though I'm sure that wouldn't be too hard to amend with a bit of masking.
