Send the new one back with the old invoice. If you don't open it then it will be easy. Having said that i've seen the box and I wouldn't be bothered enough to post it :D mine was 700.

If you post in the OCUK CS area you may be able to get the difference refunded dude. Happens a lot on there.

Just bought one of these on Ebay, paying for it on Friday (agreed it with the seller)

For 200 inc. Decided not to go mental and keep it (sort of) sensible. 240gb for the OS is more than enough.

Always wanted one of those but for the amount of storage I just couldn't justify the price.

Maybe if it was 480GB as a base model then I would have gotten it.

Apparently Intel are going to do a 750 PCIE SSD for 350, 400gb? something like that. But it's not out yet and everywhere is showing no stock.

I bought a 120gb Revodrive on Scan 18 months back for 40 and I tell you what I bloody love it. Sadly that's a part of my lady's rig and she would have my balls in a sling if I nicked it back.

Right now I have a 320 series 80gb holding the OS but just recently the OS has grown to 74gb leaving me with a red 6gb left and the performance has utterly nose dived.

It is expensive for what it is, even at 200. However it leaves the SATA connector clear so I can keep the 80gb in here for a couple of games (I've used all of the others).

For storage I run four 64gb Corsair Novas that I got brand new on Ebay for 10 each. They do 1tb R/W and I got 220gb so I use that for important games. I just literally need a boot drive that I can set and forget and not worry about it running out of space.

Rest of the rig is very high spec so it won't be out of place :)

Question for you bud, How did your OS jump up to 74GB ?

My Windows 8.1 install takes up 25GB fully updated with all drivers and quite a few programs installed.

Tip for you, Store porn on a hard drive :p

I don't really know mate tbh. I do know that I install any benchmarks to the SSD to prevent any read lag when they are running. However, recently I removed loads of them but it only gave me about 3gb back.

Bear in mind though I have been running Windows 8 (note not 8.1) since pretty much launch, so there's probably an awful lot of junk that needs clearing out.

It's beginning to show when I boot now.

I always planned to fit a PCIE SSD in the rig as I think they're far sexier (and quicker) than regular SSDs and my board has so many slots I lost count. It's so big it needs a case with 10 PCI back plates :o

Edit. It's most probably save games and stuff like that that all go to My Games in My Documents. Will take a look round...

Edit again, just got back 3.4gb running Disk Cleanup.

I think I'l probably partition the RAIDR into two chunks and use one for games :)

Delete the page file/move it to a HDD, cleanup any restore points, and then delete hibernation. You'll probably get back about 25GB as a minimum. If you have more than 8GB of ram then you will get back even more. Also use CCleaner. Clear the registry of any old junk and use it to cleanup all the crap.

I don't delete hiberfil on Win 8 because it's part of the boot process and why it boots so much quicker than 7. I'm not even sure you can delete it.

Didn't think of the paging file though and that would make sense as I'm running 16gb ram.

Might try experimenting with that later cheers.

Yeah you can shrink it using e.g. "powercfg -h -size 50%" default is 75% I think.

Dario_92 27-04-15 12:06 PM

Just ordered myself a new res and fitting so I can finally fit my watercooling into my case lol

and

2 of these

Sounds good. Will try it, but either way the new one is ordered now any way.

Nah definitely not. It was a clean install from literally launch day. Remember - as your OS grows so does the hibernation file.

I had to go Win 8 because 7 hates AMD. The install came over from my AMD rig.

I may reinstall it completely but that would lose the registry entries for about 40 games meaning I would have to reinstall every game I own and GTAV is a total PITA.

I ran disk cleanup last night and that's freed it down to about 70gb so it's booting nice and quick again. The new one is rated like 900/800 RW so it may even boot quicker.

Will look nice too sandwiched between my Titans :)

Cloud Creation Kit...

So this isn't computer related, but just splashed out and got some new things as I have quit the cigarettes and started vaping. So far it nearly 2 months without a ciggy and I don't miss them 1 bit.

So here is what my little spending spree has netted me...
KangerTech kBox
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/01...b23_grande.JPG

Kangertech SubTank Plus (7ml capacity)
http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/015...581_grande.jpg

And finally, 2x GENUINE AWT 18650 IMR 2500mAh 3.7v LI-Mn 35A HIGH DRAIN FLAT TOP BATTERIES to power it all.
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNj...VDcxH/$_57.JPG

NiteCore D2 Digital Charger + Car charging cable.
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTAwMFgxMD...VB~5X/$_57.JPG

The Subtank Plus has a RBA with it so as I can (in the future) build my own coils, but it comes with a 1.2 ohm atomiser and a 0.5 ohm atomiser, so I am looking forward to creating some nice clouds of smoke with this :D

I am fairly new to all of this vaping stuff, but I prefer it over the ciggys and can whole heartedly recommend that all smokers out there, give it a try some point.

It was down to the KBox or the Innokin SVD 2, and thought for 25, can't really go wrong until I am more used to it all, then at later date, maybe upgrade to the svd or something else entirely.

Thanks Tripp mate, will be looking into them when I need some bits, I will def be doing own coils etc soon, so if you can recommend any guides etc and what gague wire and any pref on the jap cotton etc to use would be welcomed.

I still not certain what benefit the sub Ω stuff brings, but I knew going in to it there be a learning curve attached to it.

i usually use 26 gauge wire for my coils mate an this cotton for wicking :

rip trippers will have all the advice you need on youtube for coil building an shiz, he is a bit annoying to listen to but his advice is sound. you will need an resistance meter for doing sub ohm stuff though, my box mod has one built in it comes in handy for knowing what you're putting your batteries through

I'm using that with a kangertech mini protank 3

The display was one of the features that I liked about the svd, will see soon enough how much over my head I'm in with building own coils :p
