i have a set of HD558's connected to the Headphone jack on the controller but the audio seems to be of lower quality vs connected direct to my motherboard is this common to see?
Mobo MAXIMUS VII RANGER
I know the grafix card i have now is being under utilised at the moment, but i have around £500 for a new mobo, cpu and ram.
Im thinking of getting the MSI Z97 Gaming 5, 16Gb Ram 2400Mhz and the 4790K

Looking to get a headset for gaming and music im looking at the
SteelSeries 7H,Siberia v2 but i will consider slapping a mic on some non gaming headphones if they were better sounding over all. im also intrested in getting a Essence STX to go with them budget is about £150 for the headphones.
looking at the asus range of sound cards herd that there is a massive difference in games and music, i have a nice stack i hook my speakers up to and i use headphones from time to time.
Any recomendations or tips about £100 budget tops?
Basically i want to know if i can use my GPU for rendering videos to cut the waiting time down. I have heard that its not possible with an Intel CPU because you need an AMDCPU/GPU Combo would it be possible with my config ?

I currently have a acer s273HLAbmii but its driving me bat shit crazy because i tend to notice the pixels when im on the internet, i was thinking of getting an IPS monitor around the 23"-24" size what would you recomend
as in 1 pcb with 2 gpu's on it i have forgot what card it is think its made by kfa2 or evga, its not the 295 its something like 270 x2 or 460 x2 or along them lines its doing my head in help

would it be faster for him to get another 4Gb of the same stuff or get 4gb of 1066MHz

He dues allot of gaming and the occasional video edit and render about once to twice a week
