The only thing I'm not too keen on when it comes to this new motherboard side GPU power connector is that if for whatever reason it decided to melt, Your motherboard also has to be replaced as opposed to just your GPU.
Friend of mine wants a 5800X3D but sadly the only place he can get them is from either scalpers or stores that have massively marked them up. AMD putting these back into production at a decent price would be a very good move.
It's pretty cheap now on PC and is very easy to run, I get 120'ish FPS at 4K max settings with no frame gen and no upscaling used at all with a 5090 so you'd still be looking at over 60 with a last gen GPU easily with no upscaling or frame gen.
