ATI has released a Hotfix driver (8.401.1) for both Vista and XP. You can download it at this link to their knowledge base. It applies to all Radeon 9xxx, X1xxx, and HD 2xxx series cards. The Hotfix fixes problems including stuttering with Preload, Missing/black surfaces and/or display corruption.
