Well I'm quite lucky. As soon as you leave my town it gets rural fast. Like, mum lives 7 miles away and my new setup won't even work on 4g there. Thats one bonus of living in town I guess. 12-1 it will be here.

I am completely at my f*****g wits end with Now Broadband (offshoot of Sky, only worse). I have been with Now for 4 years coming up in October. Last winter I saw some city fibre barriers outside and they had the pavement up. I thought we were finally going to be getting full fibre. Instead it...

OK so I did not realise you need special bar when making rails for CNC. They need to be ground, so that they are dead straight but also exactly the same size down the span of the bar. Otherwise it could jam. So, I bought 1m of the correct round bar and sent it to my buddy. He did mess up a tad...

OK. So basically... Sand, chisel off excess epoxy on bolt threadserts, sand more, fit magnets**, sand more, file threadserts level. **. The second magnet.. I put far too much glue in and it would not seat. I got frustrated and smacked it with a hammer. Silly thing to do. It shattered. I ended...

New CNC came. It's a fuggin TANK. My old 3018-3040 kit won't work as the new one has 12mm rails (instead of 10mm). So I bought some proper bar and my mate is making me new ones. I also bought two A4 sheets of this in 5mm to make new sides.

I love Lego. Sadly the Lego I loved was Technic and I would have no idea where to start. What I mean is whilst I do love Lego I have never seen anything I really would want to build. As kids my cousin and I were obsessed with roller coasters and theme parks. Even though I was too chicken to go...

    The Fairchild Ghost subwoofer project

OK so I went back down at about 8:30 last night and stayed down til 10. I got the woofer hole marked, the centres pre drilled for the magnets and etc. I then had nightmare #1. The drill stop Cenedd made for me was too small inside. This was clearly my fault (I tend to press a bit too hard and...

Yesterday. And bodywork, go. As you can see the grille now sits nice and flat. I will put more filler in later. I realised then I had forgotten to actually check it fits. It literally clicks into place. Today... Well I am either crazy or stupid. Probably the latter tbh. I...

I've been thinking about upgrading mine for ages and ages. Thing is, to do so would cost around £500. It may not look different to my old one, but it has - 500w brushless motor. Larger steppers with manual controls. Limit switches (so I never have to hear the sound of grinding gears again) A...

    The crate.

I'm a ferret like that lmao. Always keeping my eyes peeled. The best place for bargains is OCUK. The secret is, basically go to their site. Select Clearance under deals (farthest right). Don't click on any particular thing under Clearance, click on the word itself. Sort my price low to high...

Do remember, I daily the PC. Like I say, not for competitions blah blah. I literally sit at it for hours a day :) I would have gone with these fans ages ago, had they not been 120 quid a pack. Another ethos of this build was cut price parts. Everything in it was at least 50% off RRP. I got all...
