The gfx industry is absurd, I wish they would put guns to their heads.

lol remember tho back in dx9 launch days there were similar accusations .... now could i have , by a show of hands an indication of all peeps who believe DX8 graphics are acceptable.
the .1 revision IMHO is probably a performance fix or some such features that where originally planned for DX 10 but because of the Vista Deployment Rush did not get employed due to lack of resources / time

so this confuses me, will dx10 cards support dx10.1 !??!?!? or will you have to get whole new gear?

Thing is, it's going to be a LONG time before you need worry about 10.1 at all - I seem to remember it's quite far on MS' horizon too atm.

Hmm well this isn't THAT bad - DX10.1 won't be out for a while just like DX 9.0a, b, c etc
However I would like to play a DX10 game or so
