Calling all Battlefield 2 players!

Hello fellow ers!

I know that there are a few BF2 players on this forum. I havn't played the game for about 7 months according to my stats

So, when my 2GB kit comes back I shall be re-formatting and re-installing BF2. I have been reading up all day about a well done mod called "Project Reality". I'm wondering if anyone has actually seen or played this??

I want to have a few good games on BF2 to get my moneys worth before new and better games arrive and BF2 dies off. I propose that everyone gets their BF2 up and running and get THIS mod! We'll get some good TS and teamwork on the go

Check this link for more info - http://prguide.realitymod.com/index....tle=User_Guide

This mod has actual vehicle damage (e.g de-tracking, turret imobilising....), loads of new weapons and is built around teamwork. All the usual BF2 noobs (medics who just run past you while your dying to go shoot bad guys) will be put off by this game so sounds good to me

You will be amazed at how much of a small world it is. At my new place of work i was talking to a guy who i work with and he is a project developer for them.

I was talking about my lack of BB at the moment and missing gaming, when i said i had only just bought BF2 and was playing in single player mode, he then went on to tell me all about project reality and gave me a printout all about it and tbh it looks really good.

I will b e speaking to him tomorrow as I had already advised him on joining this forum, (he is currently funding a new build) and was gonna order from overclockers, i told him to look on here for some genuine comments about overxclockers and also to look at ST as a possible alterantive.

When i speak to him tomorrow I will get him to post, loisting what he wants to buy abd get suggestions from this commubnity first.

I will also see if he has a dvd with all the mods instructions etc on it as well.

Later guys

Wow, that is pretty mad!

Nice to see a fair bit of intrest in this. Can't believe im saying this but I'm actually looking forward to playing BF2 again . I'm in need of a different game and Quake Wars still isn't gonna be for a bit of time

So far we have:
  • Jiffz (Downloaded, due to install)
  • Nunzio (Downloaded, due to install)
  • Oxo (Due to get BF2 and the mod sorted out)
  • limqareb (Downloaded, installed and playing!)
  • !TIMMY! (Waiting to finish dissertation - College boy eh )
  • Hyper (the Pirate ARRR ) (Downloaded and installed)
  • Wayne-o (Downloaded, installed and playing!)
  • Joe (Downloaded, installed and playing!)
  • BloomerzUK (Downloaded and installed)
  • Nagaru (Downloaded and installed)
  • Ham (Thinking of buying BF2)
  • Chudley (Due to get connection, BF2 and the mod sorted out)
  • Mudley (Downloaded, installed and playing!)
  • WCAnnihilus (American ping, but willing to play. Installed mod?)
  • Yeungster (Wants to revert back for some BF2 action )
  • EQUK (Thinking of buying BF2)
  • [R-DEV]UK_Force (Project reality man who we can hopefully prod for tips )

I'm sure there are other forum members here with BF2. Would look forward to playing with forum members who don't play CSS as well . Hopefully I will get my RAM back soonish and we could arrange a day to play together.
