Vista Tops in Security
A Microsoft Corp. executive Wednesday said Windows Vista’s first 90 days was a huge security success when compared to the opening three months of Windows XP, the current Apple Inc. Mac OS X, and three flavors of Linux.

Vista is just short of amazing in the security department, truly. I finally feel that MS has made a step in the right direction for helping it's customers avoid the day-to-day hassles of spyware, viruses, trojans, and the whole nine yards.
Now, if only MS would start shipping a decent AV product with Windows that's fully integrated in to kernel.

Vista seems to have better security than XP, but it also isn't selling as well which means it is less of a target. Comparing the number of bugs in Windows to Redhat, Ubuntu or Suse is rediculous because these all include huge amounts of software available for them, it would be equivalent to including a whole bunch of software in the number of Vista bugs.

Yes, only time will tell, I could see a hypothetical situation where one problem causes something to go from most to least secure.
