I already own an XFX 7900GTX and was wondering if i would be better off getting a new 8800 rather than buying another 7900GTX for sli .....:eh:

Personally I'd go for the 8800. Mainly because you'll be all set for DX10 games when they start to show, but also because SLI can be a right PITA.

Deffo go for the single G80. SLI works best when benchmarking, other than that the real world gaming performance differences are not much, and are some times even worse than a single card. XMS and I both noticed this back on the 7 series cards.

G80 is wicked fast and has full DX10 support, definitely the way to go IMHO.

An 8800 for its performance and feature set (DX10). But also 7900GTX are hard to come by.

imo SLi is a wste of money, 2 of one card is always beaten by one newer card (in my eyes anyway)

as said already it has full DX10 support so going for a 7900GTX is simply buying into technology that is dead, looks towards the future i see DX10 :P
