Wii May Not See Third-party Online Games In 2007
It looks as if Nintendo have dropped the ball as far as building an online presence for the Wii. Care to comment?

To be totally honest, we`re looking at a Gamecube that`s been pimped, nicely pimped, but anyway..
I`d open source, atleast put out an SDK, you can only imagine the amount of software that will flood the scene.
Nintendo`s real arguement for that would prehaps be quality control, but myself I wouldn`t worry about it.
When it comes to something like the Wii2, which i can imagine as the same unit physical-hardware-wize, but a better machine inside, that`s a different story.

Lets hope they do get it sorted, I know I would love to play some long distance friens at Big Brain academy, or if they managed any sports game it would be great.
Just hope its not a flash in the pan like Llwyd said

I cannot mock the Wii as it is loads of fun.
But Zelda looks like N64 in places..
What have they done? Anywhoo no online play is suicide in my eyes.

Well no online play doesn't hurt it as much as, say the PS3, but it would have been a good option

Agreed, The Wii was made for parties. I have to admit playing with a group of people in reall life is more entertaining than online..
It must be a Wii thing!

i know what you mean about parties and it is great for that , but so are board games. The trouble is you cant always have your sitting room full of people swinging their arms wildly without getting hurt.
If i could box against a friend 200 miles away, or go into combat alongside him it just gives it that one more thing it can do.
X box live has proved this already by being a big hit.

The whole deal about Nintendo was to put out a cheap awesome console without all the bells and whistles that Xbox and PS3 had. Which would mean, no online gaming. Im suprised the hardware support is even there.
