Linux Mail Server
Hello, quick question for you linux people out there. I'm going to create a little home mail server. the only features i want are;
Able to interface with outlook (just emails, not calender etc)
Remote access (similar to remote on exchange)
Does anyone have any recommendations on distribution or software.
I'd prefer it to be on debian or one of its close siblins as thats what i know best.
Thanks for all your help guys!
EDIT: forgot to mention it will be sucking mail down through a SMTP feed for the time being.

Kerio, but I don't think you'll want to buy that for your home server as its $500 for a 10 user base license.
I've always liked Trustix as its a very minimal and secure distro, either that or Engarde which comes with a web gui for setting up mail accounts, web sites etc..

woo, as this tread is back, i'll update it with a pretty good distro, its called clarkconnect. Pretty much a sbs of the linux world. Its working well in a couple of volunteer centres, wherre they need content filtering.

I should have also mentioned Engarde - It's a secure linux distro with a web interface for mail, www, dns etc. Used to use it on a very large email system, but it fell over once I hit about 60k users.

Ubuntu, with Squirrelmail and courier.
Gives you webmail, pop3/imap, and smtp.
Loads of howtos over the web, you can add spamassassin and clamav.
