Really looking forward to (hopefully) new FirePro APU's, Bristol Ridge under the new Zen architecture, very interesting for light to medium duty workstations.

Dissapointing if the lack of DDR3 support holds true. Especially for more budget orientated builds.

Nah, the price of DDR4 is good ATM and has higher speeds for the price.

Basic DDR4 and DDR3 anre fairly similar prices right now and Basic DDR4 is 2133 or 2400Mhz.

Also with an APU you will want the best clock speeds for the money, which DDR4 brings.

Well tbh, many people on budget builds would still benefit from being able to use their preexisting DDR3 modules (unless of course they were uprading from DDR2?) As opposed to paying for a new set. That way they can allocate more of their budget to other conponents. I can see the benefits for the APU, however it would be much better to be given the choice.

One thing AMD must support on their new Zen platform is true PCi-E 3.0 lanes.
It looks promising for them though.
Just can't wait for Zen.
