Hitman Delayed until March 2016

Hitman has been delayed until March 2016 and will still not contain the full game at launch.

Too bad, quite enjoyed previous ones. 2016 and still not the full game.

You have to love major publishers trying adopt the worst aspects of early access in selling you unfinished games at full price, with the promise that they will add more later.

Quite a strange release strategy. I think I'll hold off until everything is released to be sure everything will be.

Think you are a little misinformed.. they will be releasing the full game at launch as by moving back the launch date, they get more time to add things into the main game. They aren't changing the amount of expansions and DLC, they are just adding more to there current builds of the game. Extending there time allows them prepare everything sooner which will help with faster updates and extra content releases.

It's actually a good thing they are delaying it. I'd rather have them have more time than not enough if they felt it wasn't worth releasing. If they think it's not good, I'm sure consumers will think 10x worse

I've kinda had it with all games being delayed for similar reasons, it's becoming a trend. When a date is announced I find myself waiting for the delay notification. Why not say just 2015, and only close to release disclose the date, when they are sure they can push it put? I think they did that with either fallout 4 or the new mass effect?

Games are becoming increasingly more expensive and hard to make. I think its just the industry adapting to the increased complexity and are realizing that release dates are becoming to ambitious.

Absolutely, I can understand that, all the more reason not to give a specific date too early in my book. I know it makes sense to give some date, perhaps a bit more reluctantly would do wonders and prevent disappointment somewhat?

Doesn't really matter to me much, although some people do care. I think it would be more wise to provide something like "late 2015- early 2016"
