Trolled by FedEx

Hi

Really super frustrated with FedEx. I ordered approximately $500 worth of water cooling parts from Performance Pc's. Starting on my first complete loop with hard tubing. Package disappeared after making it to the FedEx office on the 6th as shown below. I really don't know how long to wait before starting a grievance process with Pay Pal.

 Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be appreciated. I have contacted FedEx and Performance Pc's

Its down to the etailer - they may have passed it on to fedex to deliver but its not your fault.

You need to get on to PPC's

Yeah that. The contract is between you and PPC, not the middle man. If anything goes wrong they should send out a replacement or refund you.

Thanks Guys! I have contacted them every day since last Wednesday. They said they would open an inquiry with FedEx and get back to me with any information. I guess I need to turn up the heat a bit and pressure them for a new shipment or a refund. I would be even more frantic if my CaseLabs Nova X2M case was here. Its still in the queue to be manufactured.

That package had both 240 Radiators, EK DDC Reservoir pump top, DDC Pump, tubing, fittings, Supremacy EVO CPU Block, and other stuff. So its most of my WC parts except GPU Block and Back plate.

Quick update - two weeks from original ship date, package still not found by FedEx. Performance Pc's needs to file a claim on FedEx. Or I need to go back to Paypal and start a complaint. Man this sucks as it was $488 for almost all the parts I needed for my upcoming CaseLabs Nova X2M build. First big order to them and it disappears out of a FedEx office.

They should just send out another mate, its NOT your fault the couriers fudged up

Thanks Tom. I am going to have to go against my normal very calm and patient personality and be a bit of a ass and turn up the heat. It amazes me that a 15lb 36" package just disappears. I would hope they find out who took it out the "back door" and terminate their ass.

Be a royal pain in their butt they should have apologised and sent you the replacement parts by now. I would phone them at least twice a day matey ;)

just wondering, was this from over seas? because fedx love to hit you with custom and handeling fees if it was.
they tried to hit me with fees that was 50% of the item cost.

Their mistake was to deliver it to me 1st then send me a letter demanding the money.
I just told them if they had told me about the fees up front i would have refused delivery and been refunded.
They thretend me with court and i pointed out that they cant charge me for a service i would have refused to accept.
They then gave up on the matter..

But the point is perhaps they are holding on to it untill some fees are paid?

No it's not overseas. If you read the picture you could tell it's all been in the US;)

I have ordered some stuff from PPCs in the past and never had an issue, granted I used USPS and not Fedex. However you used paypal so it shouldn't be to hard to get your money back.

Its not from overseas. Its a long way though from Florida, to the other coast and California where I live. I know it takes time, however the package made it to the FedEx office on the 6th from Performance PCs and never left, at least by the tracking info. I think someone saw a box with "Performance PCs" on it and thought it was a computer and it went out the back door. I don't think many people outside of us enthusiasts would steal a box with 2 Radiators, Pump, Reservoir, Tubing, Fittings, Fans, and other parts.

About to take the Nuclear Option and start the refund claim from PayPal.

No company can expect you to wait whilst they mess around getting the money back from the courier. That's actually disgusting.

Glad I don't live in the USA any more I would avoid this company like a nice warm dose of the clap.

How is it there fault? It's not there fault that the middle man lost a package. Getting the money back would probably take a few days for the banks to process the information... I don't see why that would make you not want to live in the US over a lost package? Seems odd...

I order my parts (water cooling related) exclusively from performance pcs, and I use FedEx as my preferred choice all the time. I have never had an issue like this and yeah its weird to of just disappeared like that. I've seen a scan get missed leaving but it normally catches up upon receipt at the next stop. I hope ya opted for the insurance on it as without it PayPal may be your only option for a refund. Insurance thru FedEx covers damage or loss.

I am starting to get really fed up with Performance Pc's. I called them today and left a voicemail. They promised to call back on Friday and did not. I followed up with the email below

Hi

I have repeatedly called about my order that I placed on the 5th of August. The order number is ORD-15-08-05-144 and it appears it was lost by FedEx as it went into their office on the 6th and never left. The FedEx tracking number is 781108441214. I have talked to FedEx and the 14 day window that they attempt to find packages is over. I would like to know what the next steps will be. I spoke to Marina in shipping on Friday, and she promised me a call back. I have not heard back and am feeling very frustrated. So please contact me and explain what is going to happen. Will you send me another package, or refund my money? I don’t want to have to start the PayPal grievance process. I have ordered from your company before and everything was fine.

I just really want to get my parts. I am taking delivery of the new CaseLabs Nova X2M case in the next week and want to get everything going. I was hoping that my build will be the first one up on CaseLabs site.

Thank you,

And I got a really crappy (in my mind response)

Hi

We have provided Fedex with a pack slip so they can search the overgoods sections in each city it passed through. This will take a day or too.

Outside of that you did not purchase insurance on this order. Insurance is not included or free and is listed as an option to choose.

We will let you know once Fedex Contacts us on the search.

Best Regards,
Customer Service

So I wrote them back:

Hi

I understand things get lost in shipment. The funny thing is it never went anywhere. Just first FedEx office and disappeared. I understand the need for insurance for shipping mishaps and the like. I think its not very nice to put this back on me as I did not purchase insurance for the package, so I have to wait. I ordered from you and I think it is your responsibility to take care of the customer. I feel like I have been extremely patient throughout this whole process

Thank You

And got a really super crap response so I guess its off to PayPal and file grievance

Hi

OK but at checkout it is your choice to pay for insurance or save the money and take the risk. If you dont pay for insurance what do you expect us to do?

As we said all we can do is have Fedex check overstock in Cocoa and see if they can locate.

Yup, Paypal grievance it is - send Paypal all those emails too.

Shame it's not a UK company, they'd be in serious trouble with emails like that!

Eh? Since when was it the buyer's responsibility to get a package to themselves safely?

LMAO that's awful customer service.
