Time for a new monitor?
Well i wanna give my pc experience a bit of "umph". Ive got a whole new system apart from my 17" Specvision tft, which is still in very good condition. I don't really want to spend money if its not gonna make much of a difference to me. If i did get a new one, i would like a widescreen as it seems the way forward ^^. My question is will i see a difference from my 1280x1024 max monitor to another one other than ... more room on my desktop and if so how much will i need to spend etc.
Whats your ideas folks?

Whats the hardware of ur comp? I have the same prob now too. If I went with the 8800 than I needed a big screen (or the GPU was a waste)
But after building this comp $$ is a issue so I figured i would have to keep my 19"tft (1280 X 1024) so I just needed a video card that would run well with the 19". Looks like I am going with a 7900GS.

Deffo get a widescreen monitor of 20" or more. I can't stress how good a widescreen TFT is for pretty much everything

Widesreen is the way forward!
And the main reason why is that widescreen is more suited for our line of sight. Seeing as we have 2 eyes vertically postioned.
So widescreen is best for your vision...!
WIDESCREEN PWNS!

Ye I made the switch to widescreen and I will never go back. everything looks so sweet and the real estate is nice.

like everyone said def get a Widescreen, i had a 19" FLat CRT, and then moved to a 22" Widescreen, my gosh i wish i made this upgrade as soon as they came out, im sure ud enjoy a bigger viewing area than an upgrade such as a case or something that would boost ur comp by a few fps.
